COMPLIANCE AND ADMINISTRATION
We are searching for a diligent, professional, and ethical compliance and administrative person to join our growing taxidermy. You will be responsible for ensuring our business operations and procedures comply with legal regulations, both locally and internationally, internally, and externally.
In this position, you will perform a range of duties, including evaluating all current and new compliance regulations, with regards to international and local logistics, taxidermy regulations and permit applications. reviewing company processes, and conduct audit and training sessions. Conduct fact finding research and liaise with other members of the taxidermy industry. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, with in-depth knowledge of the latest industry procedures and regulations.
DUTIES
- Health and safety – annual audits and overall compliance.
- Fleet management, responsible for all legal requirements, booking of services, vehicle licensing, managing fleet cards and logbooks.
- Renewal of annual taxidermy license, ensuring that the facility do meet all requirements of a High-Risk Taxidermy.
- Logistics, liaising with all departments, including freight forwarders, to ensure on time deliveries to our clients, both locally and abroad.
- Informing all departments of due dates, collection dates, container arrivals and executing of packing of containers together with relevant departments.
- Permit applications for all items, including cites animals and products.
- Checking of packed crates, creating packing lists, arrange for fumigation. Ensure that all legal requirements are met for export and import.
- All other administrative duties as when required or communicated.
- Communicate with clients, shipping agents and logistics personnel regarding costing and pricing of export when required.
- Arranging of insurance coverage with the brokers, for all items that must be shipped abroad.
- Nurturing and building of relationships with international clients and shipping agents, enduring them to our taxidermy.
REQUIREMENTS
- A logistics background would be advantageous. And preference will be given to people with a proven track record.
- You will have to be diligent, punctual, and detail orientated with a high level of patience.
- Must be analytical and be able to problem solve and must be computer literate.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in a team environment.
- Good negotiation skills are required.
- A good and positive attitude towards fellow staff and company.
